The People God Quietly Gives You

The People God Quietly Gives You Stories of faith, friendships, and navigating His call. There’s a quote by C.S. Lewis that caught my attention recently. I’ve returned to it a few times now, especially when I'm asking God for relationships in Bristol - I genuinely think it captures something beautiful about the friendships God gives us. “In friendship... we think we have chosen our peers. In reality a few years' difference in the dates of our births, a few more miles between certain houses, the choice of one university instead of another... the accident of a topic being raised or not raised at a first meeting—any of these chances might have kept us apart. But, for a Christian, there are, strictly speaking, no chances. A secret Master of Ceremonies has been at work. Christ, who said to the disciples, ‘Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,’ can truly say to every group of Christian friends, ‘Ye have not chosen one another but I have chosen you for one another.’ The friend...

Freedom’s Cry

Did you see my face? Did you see my face on that day, That dark, dark day, when all sin was held at bay.  Could you look at me, When bearing my sin and shame, Hanging there upon that tree,  While I remain, thinking my sin is only for me to see. But you, you saw it. You wore it. You bore it. I look out into this intelligently designed world, And all I can see is pain  A world crying out beneath the weight of suffering, And yet you speak all can be made free Now I’m left thinking, what is free? I would have thought it meant  Freedom from pain  Freedom from hurt Freedom from suffering Yet another day comes and I hear another life is lost. An attack. A humanitarian catastrophe. A child crying...

The Journey Begins - Moving to the City!

Moving to the City! Stories of faith, friendships, and navigating His call! The world often tells those in their twenties to chase success, money, and lust. Build the career. Earn the salary. Find status. Make a name for yourself... But Jesus has always invited us into a better story. A story marked by calling over comparison, brotherhood over isolation, and sacrificial love over self-interest. This blog is my attempt to document that story—not because I've mastered it, most definitely not lol, but because I'm living it. The highs, the heartbreaks, the laughter, the mistakes, the awkward moments and the incredible faithfulness of God. So, welcome to the journey. Leaving home… again A funny question people ask is, “Where’s home?” Honestly, I’m not sure anymore. A few months ago I graduated from Elim Bible College in Malvern after three of the most formative years of my life. Before that, home was Yeovil in Somerset—a place where I had found an incredible church family, served f...
